CK Chu Tai Chi Retreats and Annual Events

Chinese New Year Banquet
Annual banquet in Chinatown to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year. Currently, it is lunar Year 4709, which began on February 3, 2011, ushering in the Year of the Rabbit. The next New Year, and our next banquet, will be January 23, 2012, when the Year of the Dragon begins.

World Tai Chi Day in Bryant Park
CK Chu Tai chi students will be participating in this worldwide event with a continuous demonstration of the Tai Chi Short Form. All practitioners familiar with the form are welcome to join. Takes place annually on the last Saturday of April (April 30, 2011). Kicks off a series of free morning classes in Bryant Park. (See "Free Eternal Spring..." below.) Free Eternal Spring Tai Chi and Chi Kung Classes in Bryant Park
World Tai Chi Day opens a series of morning classes in Bryant Park for the summer. Tai chi & chi kung for everyone, free of charge. Every Tuesday & Thursday 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM. Continues until the week of Columbus Day (generally the second week of October). Location: Fountain Terrace at 41st Street & Sixth Avenue.We have our own Facebook page for Bryant park. Monroe Weekend
Weekend retreat to Monroe, New York, for Tai Chi, Nei Kung, and Taoist Meditation. 100 wooded acres, lake, nature trails, waterfall. Usually the last weekend in July. This retreat requires early planning and commitment. If you are interested in a Monroe Weekend, please contact the office in November or December 2009 and we can start planning for July 2010.
